Portal del Cantuna’s story begins 246 years ago when it was a convent run by protective nuns. This storied building, bought by my great-great-grandfather, has been a family treasure for generations. Originally a hub for trading goods like potatoes and cattle, this grand mansion now stands as a testament to our family’s rich history.

As you step inside, you’ll be greeted by the grandeur of the upper quarters, where the original hardwood floors, elegant lounges, and a dining hall inspired by the Presidential Palace await. These areas, once reserved for the elite, now offer a glimpse into the luxurious past. The lower quarters, historically the living spaces for the service staff, have been beautifully repurposed, blending rustic charm with modern amenities.

Among the many treasures, you’ll find a military saber belonging to my grandfather, a symbol of our family’s storied past. Each room is filled with mementos and memories, including a cherished Virgin Mary statue gifted by Jesuit priests, reflecting our deep spiritual roots.
